4 Days Mardi Himal Itinerary
Day 1: Pokhara to Dhampus – Trek to Badale Danda
Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Dhampus (1,650 m), a charming village known as a natural viewpoint of the Annapurna range. From here, the trek begins through Pothana, Deurali, Forest Camp, and Low Camp, before reaching Badale Danda after 8–9 hours of hiking. Along the trail, enjoy breathtaking mountain views, peaceful forests of rhododendrons, and remote hillside villages. The final stretch to Badale Danda is steep but rewarding, with a 360° panorama of clouds and peaks. Overnight at a teahouse.
Day 2: Badale Danda to High Camp (3,580 m)
After breakfast, continue trekking from Badale Danda to Mardi Himal High Camp. The trail today is relatively easy and passes through colorful rhododendron forests. As you climb higher, the landscapes open into alpine meadows with close-up views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna peaks. Arriving at High Camp feels magical, with panoramic mountain vistas and a peaceful setting. Rest, enjoy the Himalayan sunset, and spend the night under a starry sky.
Day 3: Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp – Descend to Forest Camp
This is the highlight of your trek. Start before sunrise and hike for about 2 hours to reach the Upper Viewpoint (4,500 m) near Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trail rewards you with close-up views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Tent Peak, Bharashikhar, and the iconic Mt. Fishtail. After capturing the best Himalayan panoramas, descend to Forest Camp with a stop for lunch at Low Camp. The downhill path is long but scenic, surrounded by forests and villages. Day 4: Forest Camp – Lwang – Drive to Pokhara
